hmmmmm

i was going to sell my car - or trade it in for an integra - a 99 gsr, but its just a pain in the ass so im thinking maybe ill keep her for a little while longer - i want to do an engine swap - full swap with axles, engine, tranny - ecu - everything - but i have no idea what to get - i was looking at a an h22a swap - big headache - but well worth it - also a k20 swap too. i have no idea - i have a 96 civic coupe - any ideas? probably turbo in the future - i have also considered a frank too. damnit - i have no idea - what do you guys think? :banghead:

In my opinion an H22 is better for all motor. It's got the higher compression and a lot of torque, with some cams and maybe some higher compression pistons the motor will be a monster. Honestly I'd recommend the H22 swap. I never have been all that much before but I'm changing to the other side; there are just so many walkthroughs and ECU pinouts now that it should be considered as a good idea. The motor is fast and I've seen it in a '96-'98 hatch doing high 13's (believe it was 13.8). But if you're set on doing a turbo and will just end up trading the car in a year or 2 then I's say just do an LS turbo. The LS has more torque than the b16 and gsr, and lower compression, it's just screaming to be boosted. This is just my opinion. But the truth is that it all depends on what you're horse power goals are and how much $ you're willing to spend to get there. Answer those two questions and people will be able to help you a lot more than with just opinions.
