front speakers keep cutting out, please help!!

hi there, sometimes when i hit a bump or make a really harsh turn my front speakers shut off. im thinking its the amp....i have a 94 g20t, and i noticed that there are 2 amps back there, can someone please tell me if there is a way to check if the amps suck>? thanks or if htere could be another problem


oh yeah, my system is stock OEM. thanks

It's probably not the amps. You might have to check the wires that are connected to the speakers. They might be making contact or something. They could be loose also.

all four front speakers cut out....the 2 tweeters and the door speakers, could 1 wire affect it? please help, thanks for the fast response!!!

Start your search with the wires running to the speakers. If they are not loose or making contact with any surfaces, then go to the amp.

Now, in the amp area, check and make sure that it's fastened down properly. If everything is fine and fastened, you might want to take it to your local auto sound and security store and have them check your channels, unless you can do this yourself. If you have a channel burned out or something, then your amp is out.

But if you like the amp a lot, you could bridge it, but I personally don't like doing this. Definitely sounds like something is making contact. Hope that helps.
