Here is my other current project. Its the Hasegawa Honda Civic VTi/ETi (Kit No. CD10:1600). The color is same as my Fujimi Integra Type R :evillol: Dupli Color Honda Artic Silver. Im planning on using the Fujimi Racing Bucket Seats and N1 Exhaust from the GTW Wing Set and Muffler Set. The steering wheel will be the Aoshima Racing Steering wheel from the Drift Parts Set. Im still debating on which rims to use. I have a set of Spoon SW-388's and a pair of Advan RG's. I seriously love EG's with Spoon Wheels but the RG's look soo awesome! Only thing that is keeping me back from using the RG's is that the RG's are very thin since they came in a cartoonish model (thanks BlownCivic :p ) Suspension is still incomplete, better yet not even started.
Here are some pictures.

I agree....Id go with the Advans. For being an old kit, its not too hard to get a hold of these. Cant wait to see whats in store for this.

Well... both rims look good. But I have to agree wit hyou that those Advans are very thin. Maybe you could try making them wider... I think it would look way better if they were around the same width as those Spoon wheels.
Either way, I'm looking forward to see more pictures of the progress.

I have been fiddle faddling with styrene trying to make them wider but no luck yet. They would really look good on a 1/25 scale Civic Hatchback. Maybe i should buy one  Another one  I tried fitting the Spoon mirrors that come with the Spoon Integra but they seem to be 1/25 scale also. Man all of these little mistakes are making me really want another Revell Civic.
I put the tires that Hasegawa provides with the kit on the Spoon wheels and they look way better. Maybe i'll stay with the Spoon's and try giving the EG a good ol' Lowering. The Spoon banner in the back would look cool on this EG :p Im a sucker for Spoon!
I don't think i will be able to do anything to the models tomorrow since i have to go take my sister to Laguardia Airport in NY since she is leaving to Spain :banghead:

I more thought along the lines of cutting a little of another wheel and adding it to the Advans. If you add in in the rear of the Advans you have them only wider, and if you add it in the front of the Advans you have a little deepdish look. The only thing to think about is if you are willing to sacrifice some wheels for this...
but If I were you I'd go with the Spoons. They suit the car better.

So now with the Hasegawa Tires and the wheel well sanded down i was able to place the wheels a little more low. What you guys think :cwm27:
Since i am still waiting for the fixed pair of Spoon's to arrive from HLJ i have an extra set of these Spoon so i might paint them to see how they look in silver, etc. Making them Rota Slipstreams. :icon16: Just for fun. :lol2:
Anybody know of any rims that might look similar to some GAB's :iceslolan ?????

UPDATE:
I decided to use the Spoon Mirrors provided from the Honda Spoon Sports Integra Type R. I borrowed the mirror holders from the Sport mirrors provided by Hasegawa. The mirrors will be two tone. The holders will be black and the mirrors will be silver.
Holder and the Spoon mirror.

Sport Mirrors. Right one has the holders removed.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/73957DSC08575.JPG
So far im leaning towards the Spoon rims but i still dont have the full set since 2 wheels came damaged from HLJ and im still waiting for their answer. Thats why i only have two good Spoon wheels in the pictures. The RG's im planning on using on another Civic that i will buy...or maybe a CRX. :cwm27:

You build some of the best Civic's I've seen so far. I'm sure this will bring the same kind of result.
Just wondering (assuming you're using Dupli-Color spraycans), what kind of primer do you use?

Thanks Malcolm,
For this Civic i used Tamiya Fine Surface Primer (white) since i wanted the Silver to look very light. For my Royal Blue Civic Coupe i used Dupli Color Sandable Primer (Black) and for the Light Driftwood Metallic EJ8 Civic Hatchback on my signature i used Dupli Color Sandable Primer (Grey).

Thanks guys,
sneiser i bought this kit from HLJ. It is actually in stock. Funny thing is that when i went to buy it i wanted the SIR but since it was backordered and the VTi/ETi wasn't i ordered the VTi/ETi one. I made my order in a weekend and when they went to update the page on Monday it showed both kits being backordered. Turned out that the SIR kit came in stock first than the VTi/ETi one. :disappoin I might just buy another one, in this case the SIR.~ :iceslolan

Major screw up! I placed the seats in Lacquer thinner and they melted! Lesson learned! Plastic and Lacquer thinner don't get along very well! I guess I'll be using Integra Type R Recaros then.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/73957DSC08619.JPG
At first i was like man this thing takes paint off soo fast when i was rubbing my fingers against the seats. Then i felt a piece of plastic under my nail and i then notice that i was a chunk of the headrest!!!!
I also applied some Spoon decals:) The lips and mouldings will be flat black as well

BAD NEWS:
I clear coated the Body and got stains just like with my Integra. This silver color was giving me a hard time anyways  I will place both cars in DOT3 to strip them and start all over. Eventhough i think HLJ is sending me another body for my EG6. If they send me another body then i will just throw this one away. If they send me an extra kit then i will strip this one and use both.

that tupperware or tub looks perfect, mines a little bigger so I waste more Brake fluid/alcohol. Now that I look at it, will it fit longer cars?...It looks almost perfect for the HB, but it could be the angle of the pic.

The Hatchback is the only one that fits there. I have one that is about quarter inch bigger and my Integra Type R fits perfectly! Almost like both containers were made for the cars

Dang Joeham...more Hondas. The thoughts are flowing big time.
I didn't know there was such an interest in the SiR EG6. My LHS had at least 8 Hasegawa SiR's for $4 each. I bought one, came back the next day and they were all gone. To my dismay the A-pillar broke when I set something on top of the kit.
I might have to glue it together and build a clean Civic. Did I just say I would build a Civic? One thing I didn't like is that the kit is molded an AT.

Wow man that was a hell of a deal! I would certainly look forward to seeing a Civic built you :iceslolan This might be the first time that i have over 5 kits unbuilt. And im currently thinking of buying an S2000 but my parents are holding me down :uhoh: My B pillar (i think thats what its called) came broken and i reported that to HLJ and thats why they are supposedly sending me another body though im hoping they send me another kit :)
NissanS15Racer: I have another sheet of decals coming my way from HLJ :p Hopefully they sent the Spoon decals also. If not then i wont use Decals.
The color i chose for this car now is Ultramarine Blue and might as well use the RG's since the Spoon wheels still haven't arrived from HLJ and im soo anxious to get the suspension done since its one of the things i hate the most :banghead:

I seriously suggest Brake Fluid. Doesn't have to be expensive, mine costed 2.87 for 32 fl oz. It strips quickly.

Meh, maybe tomorrow since i have the day off. This week school and extra work have really torn me apart. Im in a desperate need of sleep! I have though been slowly painting the Spoon Mirrors since i have had to strip them 3 times because for some reason when i try painting them they would get wrinkles, so i have been spraying light coats on. I must be on my 4th already. Still needs about 2 more light coats to match the hue of the body. The body received like 5 light coats. I have noticed that light coats give you way better result than heavy coats. And you run less risk of screwing up.

Revell has the 92-95 Civic Coupes. But they don't come with factory bumpers. They only come with Aftermarket bumpers. I would try putting a Hasegawa Civic front on one if i would find one of the Revell Civic's!!!

Body was wetsanded with 2000 grit and then smoothed out with Tamiya Compound. Next up is finding the tamiya wax so i could put some wax on it.

If you take a look at my chasis on this Civic you will say, "where is the suspension!" I only have the wheel holders crazy glue'd at a certain point. All of the other suspension parts aren't used.
I hope to get this done some time next week. Still have to spray alclad on the headlights and mufflers and start doing all the flat black painting on the mouldings and lips, etc.
