Pulls to the right

when i apply my brakes firmly,the truck pulls to the right. Checked brakes. Any ideas?

might have air in the left line. Try bleeding the lines

Sorry,I bled both sides. Anything else?

check your calipers and make sure they are not locked up, ( pistons frozen in the caliper housing)

Told by mechanic,front end alignment needs to be done. Loose parts in camber setting area?

where i work we do 2 wheel alignments for 34.99 and 4 wheel alignments for 54.99. you need the 2 wheel but i dont know how much it is going to be for you. what most people dont know is that you should get your alignment checked every year. you dont have to but its a good idea. and i would get that alignment soon otherwise say bye bye to your tires.

Just got back from the alignment shop,still pulls to the right only when i brake. Yokohama Geolander tires with less than 3,000 miles on them. Could it be a broken belt on the tire? Going back to the shop on Mon. for a re-check.

its not a tire because it is when you brake. something is up with your calipers.

Go for a nice long drive and use a laser temperature gauge to get some temps off of your brake pads up front. If there is a significant difference left to right, you've got a dragging pad on your hands.

Take your caliper off and try to push the piston in using C clamp or pliers, if the piston goes back then its not your caliper or hose. if the piston doesnt go back then crack open the bleeder screw and try again if it goes back now, it is your hose,, basically your try to push the piston back in the housing, which also pushes fluid back up the hose to the master cylinder so if the hose is collapsed then the fluid wont go to or from your caliper, cracking the bleeder open will just by-pass the hose

Look at the pads on one side and look at the pads on the other side.

The pads are probably more woren down more on the left side.

This causes an unbalance of brake pressure.

This is the same thing if someone only replaced one side of your front brakes.

If it is that bad, replace both pads and rotors and it will work fine.

This happens to old trucks because sometimes the piston gets struck and the pads wear down faster on one side.

If you have a new truck and this is happening you might want to take apart the brake calipers and clean them out or just replace.

If it only does it when you brake the brakes are causing the problem.

It has been explained on automotive shows that if you use a c clamp or somthing to force the piston back into the caliper on these abs systems you wil trash the abs pump.. You must open the brake line at the wheel before you try to push your caliper piston back in...JJ
