Even if SVT is axed there will still be high performance Mustangs, Foci, and trucks at the dealerships. Companies like Saleen, Roush, and Steeda are taking the bill where SVT has left off.

Man you guys are funny. I thought it was common knowledge that the Cobra was not being axed, but being revised and will debut as an 07. As for the lightning, SVT is concentraiting all its efforts into the unvailing of the new Cobra which should be released in 06. There is still talks of bringning back the Lightning after all the hype of the Cobra is done.

i have it from the inside that the rumors that SVT is being permanently canned are completely false. that is all.

Really it would of been hard to believe in the 1st place. After making the 03-04 Cobra and the GT-40 that took the car world by storm, Ford was going to kill SVT? This sounds like a rumor Viper and Corvette owners would love to believe.
SVT is really making a name for itself and I dont think Ford would shoot itself in the foot by killing this program.
The rumor I'm hear though now is that SVT wont be killed but changed or joined with Shelby's team to help make new GT-350s and GT-500s.
