Same here, I have the exact problems, but since I got these as a gift and my uncle didn't give me the receipt and since he miss placed it somewhere I don't think I can get mine replaced.

But if I have to brake/take the cover off, is there a replacing cover that would fit? or know where i can buy it?

let us know, if anyone out there knows anything!

Well with regular headlights you can put them in the oven at 250 and melt the silicone so you can pry the cover off. Can you do that with halo's too? What lights did u use for the parking light/turn sig?

Yes my brother in law said you can put oem head lights in the oven and heat them till the silicone melts because the cover is glass or something and won't melt. But for the halo's, i'm afraid because the cover is plastic and i think it might melt or have bubbles on the cover. It does not look as strong as the oem headlights.

Yesterday, I tried taking the cover off by using a hair blow dryer. It doesn't melt the silicone but gets it loose enough to remove them though. Maybe if I tried longer it might work, but it takes a long time. I know for sure when I get the cover off, I just need to replace the two LEDs in the center where they are connected to the ring. When I get pictures i'll post them asap!

thanks!

By replacing the light bulb and put it back together is easy, but have you tried taking the whole cover off to fix the halo rings? Now thats an issue if you don't want to melt the clear cover of your projector lights.

try using a heat gun, it gets a little hotter than a hair dryer. just be careful with it.

I don't think I heard of a heat gun, but would look for one and try it out!

thanks!

on 88-91 crx halos you need to replace the led in the base of the ring.. you can pry the headlight apart with a heat gun or hair dryer if it's hot enough don't put em' in the oven cause they're usually plastic, lol.

Ok.. I've fixed the halos before. All you need to replace is the leds in the center of the halos. To do that, you need to bake the headlights for ~10 min at 250 degrees. The plastic parts never melted for me, just make sure you put the light in the center of the oven and not touching anything else. Also make sure you test the Halos and seal the headlights up good cause when your done it becomes a pain in the ass to have to keep opening up the headlights cause 1 halo goes out. I think the leds are also glued in place.. You'll have to dig em out. I used a soldering iron to help melt the glue. That's about it.. Oh.. you might want to make sure you get the same color LEDs.. Not all are the same color of white.. some of mine had a bluish tint..
