Friend has 2000 Grand Marquis but i post in this forum, because its much more active than the GM group.
What is the difference in the engines and suspension on her car and a police interceptor?
GM had two trim levels, a GS and LS. what is the difference in these?

I'm not sure of the difference in the trim levels, as i dealt mainly with the Ford trucks and not so much with the cars, especially not the Grand Marquis and Crown Vic.
As far as the differences, really other then all the electronic police equipment, all they really do is chip the vehicle differently to allow a bit more power. This involves electronically changing the shift points with the transmission aswell.
As far the suspension goes, it's just stiffer shocks and springs from what i know, the police edition is basically the same as what you would buy regular retail, again, with the differences i've mentioned here.
