a car can have 200,000 miles on it and be in perfect operating condition or have 60,000 and run like crap. it all depends on the service and maintenance given to it. at 155,000 miles I imagine the heads (maybe even the block) where done not to long ago. I had my pic between my 94 base with 109,000 miles and heads recently redone and brand new clutch or a 95 with 72,000 miles original, no work done. which one do you think is a better buy? oviously the 94 was more updated even if it had more mile.
well just find out what kind of maintenence has been done and ask to see reciepts.

I bought mine 96SL for 5800 w/100000 miles on it. I thought it was a good deal. Maybe though he has done alot of the maintance and alot of stuff that could go wrong has gone wrong, so you won't be replacing or fixing anything for awhile.

nope don't do it, you buy cheap and you'll get cheap results. a dealer tried selling me a high mileage R/T one time saying "well at 155k anything that's gonna go bad on the car has already gone bad and been replaced". Come to find out later the engine died on it a month after someone bought it. So high performance sports car, that's probably seen a lot of abuse dude. My input: you'll find better, don't rush. But if you wanna buy an engine from a junkyard or Ebay for $1000 bucks then that might not be a bad deal...if that sounds like a plan, then i'd pay 3000 only.
