Doem Light Short - t-shoot guidelines

I am having a problem where I am blowing the fuse that controls the overhead dome lights. Pretty quick to blow the replacement so I must have a "live" short somewhere. Funny thing is, when the fuse blows, the power locks won't work although they are not listed in the manual as being on the same circuit.
BTW - '91 Cherokee Laredo.
I noticed that when I bought it, the driver's door would not trigger the lights on, only others. However, I talked to my brother who is a mechanic and he thought that the door circuit is a just a ground loop.
A few years ago I owned a '97 Grand that had a similiar problem, the dome lights wouldn't go out. Dealer never found it and I stopped looking for it an pulled the relay. I just use the Jeep to tow behind our RV occasionally and as a run-around vehicle when another is in the shop so I don't care about the lights but I miss the power locks.
Any thoughts on where to start?
