66 Cutless rear axle code

Sorry about butting in on your great site...but my options are starting to run down in this two horse (and a few jackarses) town. I have a 66 Cutless rear end in my 66 Pontiac LeMans (mine was toast and it was the only one in town) that I installed in '93. I don't recall the motor or tranny in the car when the rear was pulled...and I am trying to find out the gear and what type. The code on the axle is CS but it is upside down on the pass side. No one in this town can find codes and I want to know what it is before I concider putting the Safe-T Trac chunk that I saved from the old axle.(3.23ish gear).

Any help for this dummy?
