Im looking into a GSX/GS-T 2nd gen 5 speed and i dont have a high budget. For a while I filtered out any cars with over 100k miles cause its bad. right? But Im starting to realize that I cant find any in my price range. And the 100k cars are starting to loook better. Should I think twice before I get a Turbo DSM with 100k+ miles?
Im not going to hevily mod it prolly only intake and exaust and bov upgrades.
Thx

My buddy has a GST with 140K on it and hasn't had any major problems....It all comes down to the previous owner. Did they take care of it, oil changes, timing belt, etc. There are a lot of things to consider when buying a used car and while mileage is a big one it isn't always the predominate selling point. Would you rather have a car with 50K that someone changed the oil in every 10k or a car with 120k that has all maintence records and an oil change every 2500 miles? Just my take on the whole deal.

mileage is just a number, i have a 107k on my accord. But its in great shape and would last another 107 i bet.

It all depends on how well the car was taken care of. Did they perform oil changes and maintinence on a timely fashion. Plus you should be able to get a rough clue when you test drive it.

Good Luck!

My friend is selling his 95 Gsx, with a new 6 bolt in it. Runs great. Located in Cleveland, Ohio and is willing to sell it for $5000 FIRM

Needs a clutch, thats it.

Go to the classifieds at DSMlife.com he's got pics and an ad there.
