Driver seat broken! (96 Tercel)

My driver seat won't stay upright. Essentially, I am driving around with my seat halfway reclined, nothing to rest my back/head on. Feels like the spoked wheels (or whatever they're called) are simply not holding the seat back in place until it is way too far back for comfort. Anybody have any idea how this can be fixed? Thanks.
