if your rust free thats a good thing.
Things to do are new plugs wires dizzy cap change oil all the stuff that anyother high milage car should have done..
As much as most of the owners dont like to admit there just little motors well built but still its a motor treat it like any other one.

Basic tuneup will do the trick. Also change the tranny fluid, get the valve's aligned, change cat., defintely new spark plugs (NGK's are the best) and possibly get new dist. cap. and rotor inside. Fuel injector cleaner and a good cleaning of the throttle body should the trick. Gets all that carbon buildup outta there.

i found out today after i talked to the kid. he changed the cap rotor wires and plugs recently. also he did the timing belt. i will be going up to jiffy lube to get the tranny flushed and the coolant flushed. i will put some fuel injector cleaner in thier and hwo do i align the valves? im used to hydrolic rollers that never get unaligned

Ha, hey tere is two of us new to this thing!
It seems though as if you already know cars at least a bit to talk about hydraulic rollers and such. Oh well, don't worry, these guys can really help you out, they REALLY know their stuff top to bottom and left to right.

The thing spins and spinning causes dizzyness and it's name starts with "dis" so I think the name he gave it is reasonable. But it is a funny name.
