I know this is not a blazer question, but all I read is the blazer site for my 97 LT and this engine was used in late 80's s-10. I just replaced the orginal 2bbl rochester verijet carb on 2.8L v-6 in my 83 camero with a rebuilt one. The carb-intake manifold gasket orginally had a heater in the small hole (Primary i believe) When i bolted the rebuild back on I used a new gasket with out the heater. I measured the heater with an ohm meter. I t was open anyway. I assume the role of the heater was to improve cold weather performance and or emissions. do i need the heater?? I not sure the gasket with a heater is available. certainly not at napa, auto zone, advanced, etc. I have not tried GM yet. Being an 1983 it does not need to pass emissions I haven't run it yet as i have to pigtail the tps sensor harness. plug is in a different place and the orginal wiring harness needs a "wire stretcher". thanks gm guys for any input on this. I got to get this running so my son can drive it and i can get my blazer back. he just got his license !!!!!!
