I'm sitting here at work bored out of my gourd (hee hee, that rhymes) and I was wondering if anyone had a job more boring than mine.
Right now I'm working 12 hour night shifts at a military prison. The kids go to bed at 9:30 at night (weekdays) and are asleep until 4:30 in the morning. They then get up, I do morning PT (good for you, good for me) they shower, eat breakfast, and then I go home..... In between, time to get college homework done, play stupid on-line video games, and cruise AF WAY too much.

I might...but I don't have as long of a shift as you. I clean up dog shit. Other than that I sit in my chair and wait for a dog to get sick or something. No computer for me and I'm not allowed to do any home work.

I work a desk job for a Nuclear Engineering & software devlopment corporation 5 days a week, 7:30 - 5:30. I spend my days on 3SI, US3S, AF, streetcarforums, highperformancetoys & miniclip. ;)

How about a janitor? I'm a high school student, and I have a couple of friends who do janitor work. Their job sucks, but at least they don't have to worry about job security. One week every single day they had complaints about them: leaving a mess behind, late, using computers, socializing, etc, and they still didn't get fired.

how about being a janitor at college dorms. cleaning up all that puke, shit, and piss on the floor.

most disgusting would be an EMT hands down. I don't think most of us would even be able to psycologically handle that stuff...

Do you mean "abet" as in Aid and Abet? Anywho.... I have yet to get shanked. In the 9 months I have been doing this job, I have had one inmate try to take a swing at me. If they tend to violence, we keep them in a solitary cell. They don't leave without cuffs and leg irons on. The biggest thing we have going for us here (as guards and staff members) is simply that the prisoners have a military mentality for the most part. That doesn't mean they don't make life difficult, but none of them wants an extra 5 years for assaulting a Non-Commissioned Officer (a sargeant is an NCO BTW)

yeah it is! My job is pretty boring but I'm not sure about thee most boring. I work in an office of a sheet metal manfacturing plant. It is a small family (not my family) business. To make a long story short. I find little vents in sets of blueprins. I measure and count little vents all day long!!!! The worst part is some jobs don't even have any!! I will spend two hours looking through a set of plans to find .... nothing! Most plans are 200-300 pages some are hand drawn some are CAD done. Then if I miss one vent in 200 pages it's my ass! This job sucks!!
