dam after school today my friend borrowed his bro's mustang gt and i wanted to see how fast it was.. we got into a road which then became our raceway.. he let me started out first so then yeah.. when i hit 2nd gear i was ahead.. after that on 3rd i heard his engine and bamm.. he was in front. i hit the gas as hard as i can on 4th but still got smoked!! noooo... o wells.. didnt know mustangs r that fast.. some1 told me it was a modded gt thats y haha

is your car stock? if it is put 300 bucks in it and you be able to take em. good death.

a 5.0 has some pretty decent power to it. Give it it's credit. But... 14psi of boost and you should be able to keep up or blow it away depending.

Yeah the 5.0's are no joke. Those and Z28's. I rarely mess with either, unless I just want to try em for fun. :grinno:

I did have a guy in a Z28 I was messin with. He was afraid to race me because, he thought I'd smoke em in my car.

Nice death, 5.0 Stangs can be pretty lean, I messed with a early 90s one on the freeway and they pull mean man. He just kept going, but the guy was pretty cool and gave the thumbs up.

hey beatin stang v6's in a nt just proves a base engine 2g is better than a base engine mustang.. although 5.0s can be quick.. they dont come with a whole lot from the factory.. but there are more bolt ons then anyone could imagine for those things. if i remember they cam with like 215 back in the late 80s and like 235 through to the late 90's (including the 4.6) then went up to 265 stock after 99.. dunno what the new ones are pushing.. but again you can bolt them up to 500 horses easy as hell.

i dont like the stang fucks at all!we all hang out at a local spot and these three stangs pulled up reving and said who"s the fastest one here.everyone looks at me and i say allright lets do it,the funny thing is that the mustang guy looks at my car and said,i beat them all the time and i said cool i guess youll beat me to.we lined up and gave him the 6000rpm slip dump launch and walked him so bad its not even funny then we got pulled over for racing.this is a true story for all you guys,the county cop said what the hell is in that blue car?i told him that here in the sticks you guys think turbos only come on tractors,anyway $400.00 racing ticket cost me my injectors!
oh and the stang was a 2003 gt v8 no v6 with intake,exhaust and whatever else.

Ok, I've heard of getting pulled over in Daytona for racing, but in the sticks? How in the hell do you get pulled over in the sticks? :sly:

well the stick roads are a little narrow to run on so we run on the by-pass.as we took off a county cop was comming up the off ramp right behind as as we took off.by the way im from daytona beach twenty six years and moved up here three years ago to va and i really dont like.

you could say i'm from the sticks as well, and we race on a hiway thats about 3 miles long connecting 2 others

funny RRE story:


so the guy that was 'fixing' my exhaust mani bolt issue [the one in the pics] was asking if i raced my car often. here is what the conversation sounded like:

RRE Guy: so you race this thing often?

me: not really, but we'll see when i get it all tuned right. i did smoke a pretty nice sounding stang on an on-ramp earlier today.

R: really, was it modded out?

M: not too sure, we started out bumper to bumper when we got on, i floored it and so did he, and i killed him by a car and a half to the top of 3rd. he may not have been 100% on it, but it sure sounded like he was. to be honest it sounded pretty mean. at least an exhaust, but probably more. either way i smoked that POS stang's ass...

R: really... i own 5 mustangs. 3 are supercharged and 2 are NA, but heavily modded. i love mustangs. you might beat the NA ones i got, and mabey even my old supercharged one. but not my 2 new ones...

M: you don't own a DSM? i figured you could just kinda frankenstien a couple from all the leftovers around here.

R: all i do is fix and mod them all day. i want to go home and work on something else...

ba-jaaaayzus...why so much hate in here eh? If anything, I would never hate a car, especially if its a fast one. In fact, I hate NO car, I just hate the owners if they are arseholes. Even when I race "riced" out civics, if the guy is cool, you cant really judge his car, other than laugh about it afterwards, hehe. Stangs are pretty damn quick...even have a friend with a new 5.0 that loves DSM's even though he beat me stock vs. stock.

You got to watch out for those stangs; some of them are pretty damn fast.

I hate those stang owners with a passion, around here there are a couple of 03 cobras and a saleen, every time i go out with my buddys they try to race us, but we never get the chance, so one night i line up on a three lane road with two 03cobras and we go from a stop, i go 4500 launch and walk them both up to 4th then one of them started to gain on me, by the end of 4th he was at my rear wheel and i let off cause of traffic. also my buddy has a 96camaro with a corvett ls1 swap with headers and some bolt ons, i can pull on him from a roll but around 4th he gets even with me. i have also been pulled over three times for street racing and let go three time, it helps when your in school to become a cop and you tell the cop. I will never bow down to any stang, dont care if there is 500 on it, if i think i can win then i will try.

Theres a local guy here thats got an svo i think its an 86 its bad as hell. Hes really cool i havnt talked to him in a while but the turbo clearly states a/r .60 and it pulls hard as hell. He runs like 11to1 compression with a custom cam that overlaps the valves, so the bitch spools as he backs up, just completely sick. Im in the process of a rebuild maybe well meet next summer.
