Dont waste your money. If you want the look get a nice chrome tip for your stock muffler, but you cannot get performance sound and look off just buying the muffler. The best thing to do is get a full cat back exhaust. Altho you dont want to spend the money, good products and performance = money unless you'll end up like GSCIVIC7 said buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Reputable companies are Apex'i, RS*R, DC Sports, GReddy, Thermal R&D. Don't know which of these companies actually make exhausts for a 7th gen though.

Yes I had posted that above. If you dont have alot of money to spend that exhaust is just fine nothing spectacular but it sounds good and get the job done.

Yes, the WS are bad ass units. They are quiet during idle and cruising, but once you open it up, they give a nice growl to the exhaust note.

It's a knockoff of the 5Zigen Fireball exhaust. In my experience, knockoffs by no-name brands tend to be really bad in quality, sound, and performance.

would it better to get the exhaust set online and and go to the local mufler store and they put it on for you? or go get it from a shop.

get it online, it will more than likely be cheaper. And put it on yourself. It's really easy, should take an hour tops.

Dynomax Super Turbo Model: 17762 is your best cheapest bet for a muffler only upgrade.
The sound is deep and low but not noisy. HP goes up a little too.
I got mine for $230 and I'm please with the results.

Cheers

which is better for my 04 civic ex. An Apex or a greddy catback? Apex will cost me about $325 and Greddy will be about $230. Cost isnt too much of a concern

you could get a custom exhaust made at a local muffler shop.... If you talk to them right they can get rid of your cat and upsize your down pipe. But they usually dont sell mufflers.....you can buy one on ebay or something... one that you know that sounds good....... my friend did this with his 99 si... he used a Ractive muffler and i THINK 2.25 piping it only gets loud at HIGH revs...........................these are just some ideas and opinions but you can a get a knock off if you want :BIGTHUMB:

Just to post back in my old thread, wanted to say to those who search and pull this up..Invidia is the best exhaust that can be found for the 7th gen sound, look, performance wise. Performance being the least of the 3 because well there isnt much with any exhaust. As for the "sound" which most n00bs are concerned about you will not find a better sounding exhaust then this. Price is 500$ - Thanks
