fair trade for my hatch?

im thinking about trading this '92 hatch for my '90, anyone think its a fair trade..? my first car was a 95 coupe, and ive been wanting a 92-95 hatch for a while, im getting tired of all the problems from my hatch too, so....anyways heres pics of the trade, pics of my hatch are in my sig and on the 2nd page of this thread

breakdown:
d16z6 - skunk2 intake mani, msd blaster, chikara header, intake, 2 and a quarter inch exhaust w/ muffler, maybe more that i cant remember right now..
integra suspension (rear disks), gold line lowering springs, cf hood, half-clears, del sol wheels..etc.

Is that a SOHC engine?

Was just curious about the DOHC VTEC stickers on the side.

Exterior except for the small, fixable, rust spot looks nice. What does the interior look like?

interior is stock grey cloth..a lot of emblems inside it, but those will be taken out

yah, me too... considering it's sohc... still vtec though...

dont know, maybe it had a dohc in it before, because the motor in it now isnt the original motor

I say keep the car you have now, it's way cleaner and doesn't have rust. At the very least you could wait for another car to come along that is in a little better shape. Just my opinion.

i wouldnt do it man cause you already know what you have now and whats wrong with it, do you really want to take on someone elses problem?? if your going to trade for a newer hatch then try to find a stock one. just my 2 cents.

i'd say go for it if it wasnt for the rust. i like your car.

I say go for it, especially if yours is having problems. That rust you can fix for probably a couple hundred dollars. Just a guess though. I would take it.

im on my 3rd transmission in my hatch after a year of total driving on it...

tranny problems vs. rust problems...

i would wait for another 92-95 to come along, but its hard to get rid of a 4th gen with no paint, an engine swap, bad camber, and brown interior with a badly torn driver's seat (its hard to find another drivers seat in the same color)...plus i have to make up my mind by the end of the week..

yeah i dont think i have ever seen a 4gen with brown int. i think ur pics was the first time i ever seen it

I have a 92 VX sitting in my back yard... Has some body damage... Engine ran before someone swiped the distributor and alternator... Only bad thing is... I don't have title for it... Someone gave it to me...

Man i would do it..Unless u got alot tied up in your car.Looks pretty nice and rust is easy to fix..I would first pull the DOHC VTEC stickers off..But besides that its not that bad..

hmmm im not sure, yours seems to be a nice car but it needs a fair bit of work. its up to you end of the day, i think the EG's interiors suck though, i like your 4G, just get it straight and paint it ;)

I forgot to mention it has a junk/salvage title... So you wouldn't be able to use the frame for anything... I just don't have the title in hand. Got the CarFax report on it.

its official: i am trading it..unless something goes wrong at the last minute, my hatch will be someone else's by tomorrow night..

ill miss the car itself, but not the problems that came with it...

actually, this guy only had it for about a month, the only mods he did were to the motor..the whole reason he wants my car is because he had a 4th gen Si before the '92 and totalled it..now he wants another 4th gen

Just make sure you do a really good job fixing that rust. Has a way of coming back to haunt you.

Looks good, hope you enjoy it! Just one observation, that throttle cable doesn't look right. It looks like you have to flip the cable bracket over or something. GL

i never noticed that, it does look weird...

but yea, the cop never messes with me, he has a harley and a trans am himself, so he cant say much..plus his wife drives a brand new bmw z8 :naughty:
