Opinions on suspension

I have a 93 prelude and would like to know what suspension is the best for this car (ie. Tein flex, SS, or other makes). I checked out the specs. for Tein SS and it will only lower the car about 1.5" front and rear.
I would like to lower the car more than that. It is my daily driver also.
I have coilovers on stock struts x4 at the moment but there is too much banging noise coming from them and i can get better struts but i might as well spend the money.
Any opinions and specs. on how low i can go would be great. I am look at spending not more than $900.
Thanx

Firstly, if lowering the car is ALL you are interested in, you're wasting money by getting Tein or another other true full coilover system really. And even if you still want to get them, I wouldn't get any kit other than the Basics since it doesn't seem like you'd use the shock dampening ajustment of the SS anyways, though I could be mistaken.
I'd get some good lowering springs like maybe Neuspeed Race or some Skunk2 or Ground Control sleeves, and match them to a set of Koni Yellow shocks.
Also of note, "1.5 isn't the MAXIMUM drop of the Tein SS on your car. That's the drop if you set to spec which leaves the lowest part of the car with 90mm of ground clearance with the road. They can actually go as low as "2.8 in front and "3.4 in the rear according to Tein's website. That's odd though, they should go LOWER in front than the rear.

I assume that is cause some cars have a bit of rake to start and some ppl want an even slammed ride. Me i like my pounce rake :naughty:

i just made a post pretty similair a couple of days ago. Im going to get the tein basics because i live in chicago where potholes and RR tracks are notorious for fucking up body kits, with the height adjustment ill be able to get a nice height and have good suspension too, without having to do fiberglass repairs everyday.
I was looking at the installation instructions and written in bold everywhere, it says that the dampers are illegal to drive on public roads? i believe it, but thats pretty lame. doesnt the same thing hold true for lowering springs too?

Thanx for the responses. I should have added that i looking for handling and the ride as well. I heard that Tein SS is the way to go for the $$$. I misread the lowering specs.
I live up in Calgary, Canada and the road here are shit. Craters (potholes), cracks in the ashpalt, manholes that can rip the bottom of your car off on some roads. Plus this city has the biggest amount of idiots on the road i have delt with.
Sorry, getting off topic.
