Are Supra's this cheap?

So there I was surfing Ebay looking at cars that I can't afford, yet, and I see this Supra selling for US $5,700.00 (**edit** dead link). Granted, I know nothing about Supra's but its a beautiful looking car. Doesn't seem to have any aftermarket parts installed but theres always room for improvement. Anyway, is this the normal going price for Supra's or is this a fluke?

Also, here comes a complete Newb question but are Supra's street legal in the US (don't hurt me)?

Look at all the other things he's selling and has been sold, cars are not his thing so I'm going to guess he just got his account hacked. One day listing, pre-approved bidders, rediculiously low buy-it-now, it all ads up to SCAM. The going price for a stock TT MKIV is $30K, modded is even more, n/a's do go some what cheaper of coarse. Yes all Supra's that were sold in North America are legal here.

Damn, I thought it was too good to be true. It seems that Ebay + Cars = Scam. Has anyone ever bought a car off Ebay and not been ripped off?

Tons and tons of people buy cars on ebay every day with no problems. I have bought a few with no problems, if your not absolutely sure of what your getting then you should be flying or driving out to see the car in person. Always remember, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.

It also depends on the year supra, a 93-98 mkiv normally doesn't sell that low unless it has a flaw for example, body damage, high miles, etc. as project said, check the seller's rating and see how that looks and give the guy a call. If he sounds shady, I would walk away, it's better not to make a bid on it unless you're absolutely sure what your getting into. And yes, supras are street legal in the U.S. it's when you start installing aftermarket parts in some states that makes them non-street legal. Another example would be removing the catalitic converters from one in California, unless the laws have changed over there. Good hunting :)
