Apex Seals

Hey, I was wondering. My buddy and i took apart the motor and saw that the apex seals need to be replaced. We didnt look at them too hard. I called around to try and find some and the mazda dealer told me to bring it in cause you need special tools to take them out. Is this bs? My car is in my shop 2 hours away and I wont be back there for a week.
