Post your McLaren F1 desktop wallpaper...

This is my current one - it kicks butt! I think most here will find it to be a new photo, and will like it. :naughty: ;)

The original image of the Yellow Corn GTR was 800x600, so since I run 1600x1200 resolution, I have stretched the image to 1200x800 to fill up more of the screen without losing too much quality. It's far to be finished, I have to improve the textures (e.g. tires ...), lighting (e.g. cockpit to bright), ... but it's in progress.

Jkbon, that is the nicest digital image I've ever seen - great job! It must take a while to make, but the results are definitely worth it. You'll have to make one for each car! :wink:

I like the new wallpapers. The renderings just blow me away with how real you guys can make them look. I didn't upload any images, but created an album at Imagestation for your viewing pleasure called McLaren Wallpaper http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=2711420093 . I create a number of wallpapers, but most are copyright infirngements and I'm not able to post them. All of these in this album are made from scans, so I hope I haven't stepped on anyones toes.

I also have a couple of digital renderings that jkbon might be interested in. The guy that did the GTR and the LM Jason Adank is beyond amazing. I think you'll enjoy them.

It was from your original scan you posted months ago. of course I cleaned it up a bit using various photoshop tools. Though I'm still kicking myself since I thought that the "Michelin" decal was meant to be white and decided to brighten it up.

I went one step further with the GTR and really bastardized the scan. I decided that I would really like a totally black GTR, so I just took everything out. I'll try to just post it here, instead of on the Imagestation site. :2cents: Here goes.

In any matter, the "Mpowered" has recreated the car logo-less paint scheme used in the JJ Lehto video (seen here in an abridged avatar-size version). :)

Superb shot of 17R, one of my favorite McLarens. I just want to take this opportunity to thank all of the people who have contributed photos as of late to the form. It is appropriate that this happened close to Christmas, because it has been like an early Christmas present opening all of the threads and find gaggle of new photos of McLarens contributed by so many people. Thanks to all those who sent in and uploaded new photos to the forum and for sharing the pics. This is the best forum because of the people who contribute all of their knowledge and findings. And how do you plan to go about doing this? Because I so want to do the same. I haven't even seen an F1 in person, which is a huge bummer. My only hope is that I take the time to go up to Boston and hope I can see one of Mr. Selldorff's F1's.

I have no idea yet...

They were giving rides to people who had got special tickets through BMW i think. There was some big hospitality thing going on and everyone who had the tickets could get a ride.
