Oh and also you can see the date of the motor on the front of the block, there are circle on it, like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v473/CivicSpoon/blockdate.jpg
If it's '96+ then it's OBD2

I dont want to sound like an idiot but im new to te wiring side of things but i have the same connector in the first pic. so does this mean its obd I? my friend also told me to look for a black box on the very top of the intake manifold. he said obd I b18's didnt have this box which is a vaacume operated sensor. I have this sensor.
confused.

The first pic is of an OBD2, it has just 1 plug; where the OBD1 has 2 plugs. So your motor is probably an OBD2.
mellowboy - Yeah I had no clue that there was even a date on the motors until my buddy got his h22. But the problem with the figuring out which obd it is by the date isn't always '92-'95 and '96+. That pic of the date thing is from my buddies JDM H22a, it's a '96, but it's actually still obd1. For some reason the '96's in Japan didn't change, wonder if that's the same here now that I think of it...

Yeah that's weird. I don't know of any other engine that's like that. I just have no clue why they'd make the '96 H22 the cut off year. When he first got it I had to look online cause I figured he got screwed and got an OBD2 engine and that it's be even more of a mess than it was, but apprently that's just the way they did it. Probably cause the Prelude isn't that common so they figured no one would care. Crazy Japanese.
