so you want to turn your tbi into a lt1 or do you want to take the intake off a tbi camaro? if you want a lt1 then your looking a new fuel pump and ecm to name few parts. but i don't think kicking, a engine with 174000 miles, up a notch is worth the risk. usually engines, with this much miles, don't like last too long after they get modded or it could just be me and my lead foot :iceslolan. i don't know if the camaro intake would make a diff. i would stick with the intake from the suburban, because with a heavier vehicle you looking for more torque and that's what the burban intake is design for. i took my heads and intake into the machine shop and had them freshened up. this worked pretty good felt like a new engine. just a thought.

the same goes for the tpi as the lt1, new fuel pump, ecm, etc... the tbi intake is like a old one piece carborated intake, while the tpi and lt1 intake sytem have a lower intake, runners and a plenum. the swap can be kind of a pain in the ass if your not comfortable with all the sensor and ecm swapping, but there are books and kits for it.
here's a site with intake swap your looking for. seen it done Trucking mag and the results were impressive on the dyno.

if you get a tpi set up from a 90-92 camaro you dont need to change the ecm. just string the 2 injector harness into an 8 injector harness. run the injectors in parallel(same thing as edelbrock's multi port kit) because tpi is not sequential. but you would need a new fuel pump with an output of atleast 45psi. but seeing as how you have a suburban, i'd stick with the tbi, it's better for low end torque. type in a search on ebay for a 454 throttle body. there's guys that sell rebuilt throttle body's with the bores milled to 50mm and custom throttel plates. that would wake up your 350 a little bit.
