cheap ebay coilovers will sag and ruin soon after use. u get what you pay for. get ground control coilvers if you are on a budget.

Agreed. GCs are great for low cost coilover solution. Mine have ~3 years on them and I see no difference to the day I installed them. The tockico shocks on the other hand don't last as long as I'd like. Common problem with lowered DSMs, for any brand shock. A custom valved Koni will do better but the cost is about what you pay for a Tien setup. I personally would run JICs, but its 1800-2000 bucks all set up.

GCs are around 400. The shock I run were ~450. Front and rear billet GC upper mounts were 200. 1050 total.

What about Skunk2 coilovers? $340.
Why not just do lowering springs? I've heard good things about Eibach sportline. That's probably what I would do instead. $250

Lowering springs arent even in the same ballaprk. They work fine, but are only 200 cheaper, are not height adjustable, and you cant select the spring rate. The whole point of coilovers is adjustability and the fact that you can CHOOSE the spring rate. GCs use standard diamter Eibach race springs, with a massive selection of spring rates and varying lengths as well. ;)

for performance you cant go wrong with coilovers. springs are just for looks. i have some tein ss dampers on my gsx and i really like them. they are fully rebuildable which is nice. if you want to reduce body roll id suggest starting with better antisway bars. they are fairly cheap compared to coilovers but i dont know if they produce better or worse results. i got coilovers because i care about performance and looks. tein has a basic damper for 750 that will be alot better than stock and allow you to adjust ride height. buy some green paint like i did for 30 bucks and paint the upper mounts.
