Dim tail lamps

On my sedan my tail lamps are rather dim. You cannot see them with the lights on during the day. Normally I wouldn't care but if its raining or foggy I would prefer people to be able to see me. Is there any way to brighten them up, or a brighter type of bulb I could use? I have the LX.

Dont think there is anything you can do about it. If there driving behind you in the rain they should have there headlights on, your taillights have reflectors so it will look like there lit up bright.

yea my taillights are dim, mostly on one side though. There's not really much of an option as far as different bulbs/housings. Only alternative would be to do a taillight conversion of some sort. If i knew the wattage of the bulbs etc, maybe we could transfer them from some other honda where they're brighter. I know LEDs would be uber nice, but thats a lotta custom work

well, dad took car out last night to work and got pulled over cuz one brake light wasnt working...

went to junk yard today, and we picked up a left side taillight and a bunch of wire harnesses (the plastic connector thing with the 3 bulbs attached). Looks like the old bulbs and harnesses weren't as bright as the new ones when you hit the brake. Also, my old left taillight had a bunch of junk in there so it was really dark! Now it looks brand new and really bright :)

I'll have to go in and see if mines dirty on the inside. I keep blowing out the lamps so I wonder if maybe there is a problem with my harness?

Hopefully you aren't getting water in there cause alot of 4g's have that problem of water in the taillights.

I used to have that issue, then I used silicone to seal all around the edge of the lights, so I've been water free for a couple years.

lol me n my dad were thinking about using ducktape to seal it :P

we checked out the taillights tonight, and after replacing the left taillight and changing out the wire harness for the right taillight, it's brighter than ever! it's awesome!! :P
