hard start

my 99 eclipse gs 2.0 non turbo anninversary edition is very hard to start,takes about four or five key turns.then fires up but idles rough for about 2 minutes.then once warm runs perfect.please any help at the end of my rope.replaced idler control,throttle position control.and ect sensor.and spark plugs.

Sounds like the same problem I was it having. It was my coolant temp sensor. It was hard as hell to start when it was cold. Once it fired up, it idled a little rough untill operating temp was reached. Its a cheap fix if thats it, but the wires on mine were just lose so I f*cked with them a little and it fired right up. Also is your check engine light on... cause I know when the wires on mine would get lose it would come on... when I messed with it, the light would the light would shut off..

different car, same problem. I have a '91 non-turbo talon, and it has hard starts too. I get a CEL for the first like 5 seconds, then it disappears. My idle isn't very bad, it just takes a while to start, one key turn, but i must hold it for about 3 seconds(imagine three seconds, and you'l lunderstand thats a long time).
