Why not go buy you a Subaru SVX, it is a 2 door, V6, has an AWD option, and do an S15 front and rear conversion, it will be cheaper than what you are suggesting.
Good Luck with the other folks replies.

i've said it once and i'll say it again
you can do anything with enough money, i've seen it before and i think the price was somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 to 30 thousand.
i don't know why you'd spend that much to do awd with a 240sx, oh ya and if you're planning to do it with an S15 which is RWD, it would be alot more considering you will be needing some kind of special tranny
i hear that the S15 isn't worth the price considering that you have to use the rear diff from the S15 cause the speed sensor or something, you'd be better off buying a S13/S14 and upgrade it, i think
oh ya the AWD 240sx was using the RB26DETT and just custom modified the tranny to work with the 240sx I also think that they cut up the front some how

Why didn't people ever pick up on the Subaru SVX????????????????? they were nice cars, V6 and had the AWD option, in my opinion, the only flaw was in the funny two piece window, looked like some race car shit which never caught on.

they are quick, i think that window was so you can smoke a ciggarette with the window open at 90mph in rain storm

I saw one with wheels and it looked tight, they were very quick too, but just fell off the scene, I saw one at NOPI, I guess they never advertised them or something.

No one picked up on the 240SX either, I mean personally, I think that the sales sucked, for what they were, S14s should have outsold any other low priced sports car. I can't believe that the late model S14 didn't sell hundreds of thousands! It's such a gogeous car, and it's got the engine and drivetrain to back it up. (Compared to the Civic, Integra, Celica, etc.)

Yup, I agree, the 240 out classes all sports cars under 22K.
The sales of the Subaru SVX were so low, if you asked me, I would take it over the WRX, I mean it is a coupe for starters, second it had a V6 unlike the 4cyl of the WRX, and third it had an AWD, give it to me over the WRX.

yes i agree logik, they both should have sold better because lets face it they dominate and are gogeous. yea those svx's are goofy, that split window is weird. I would like to know the real reason they disigned it that way. Im sure the sales people got asked that all the time.

uhh AWD 240 .... trust me not worth it. take it from me.. sr do not have a direct AWD tranny unless u use the pulsar engine /trany/ sensors.
the best option is a RB motor swap and tranny. plus the sensors. nothing is bolt on (almost). don't get me wrong the engine and tranny are duable, but it is more complex then that$$$$$
i say F1 are RWD so if the best handeling car in the world is a RWD i could live with a RWD 240 sx.

yes the SVX is a boxer 6 engine 3L displacement, and only came with an AUTO transmission.....
I got a manual Subaru AWD tranny at the shop... hehe
the FWD SR20 awd transmission won't work at all... unless you somehow transplanted the whole front clip of a GTiR in there and made the engine sit transversly like an EVO or DSM.....
aLSO THE 240sx was never AWD so you will have to make MAD SHIT up for it, im talking new frame, crossmembers, brackets, suspension pieces, hubs.... you hopefully get the idea.. and its not like you can swap parts onto it.. all custom=shitloads of money at the least 20grand unless you are a professional parts fabricator for a race team and built if yourself.
