My 04 GTP seems to be having troubles starting in the mornings...whether it is 0700 or noon. Happens nearly every morning...sometimes takes 3/4 tries to start engine. Lights/radio comes on and then car dies. Dealership states it couldn't replicate problem and yet it happens to me regularly. Ideas?

I just bought a 2005 GT, I have put about 1500 miles on it. I have the same problem you describe. At first I thought I had maybe just not let the starter crank enough times, because it started right up the second time I turned the key.
Now, it happens when it is cold. I made the mistake once of pushing down on the accelerator for about 1/2 a second after it didn't start the first time and it took a few times before it started, ran rough for about 20 seconds and then it was fine.
The car runs great, and it always starts on the second try, except that one time. I have noticed that it seems to happen when the tank is low on gas. By that, I mean 1/3 tank or less. I have not taken it in yet because it doesn't strike me as a serious engine problem, and the knowledge that when I do bring it in, they will have the same response: "It started just fine here".
I love the car other than this one thing. I am secretly worried that this is a sign of bad things to come, however.
Anyone else know anything about this?
By the way, when I bring it in, I will attempt to replicate it MYSELF, with them watching. I will not leave it with them to diagnose on thier own.
