title might imply a non-performance problem but i was wondering was there any problems with factory alarms for 89 camaros. did they even have that option. Was there any type of kill switch.
Also with 89's any known probs with fuel pump or fuel relay or ground for damn whats it called ummm. cant think of the name but its back by the gas tank if that helps. any help/advice would greatly be appreciated

Nope, the only thing that some of them had was VATS. It is the little black "chip" in the key but is easily either fixed (about $100) or bypassed (about $10). I had an '89 Formula and miss driving it even today.

That problem was mostly limited to the early 4th gen cars and not an '89. I had over 90k miles on my '89 Formula when I sold it. The only real repair was to the VATS system.
