havent been on in a couple days i have been in oklahoma i got my headers on saturday morning, and i went to oklahoma saturday night, anyway the headers make a big difference and sound great, i broke 155 twice on the way to oklahoma and my friend got a picture of my speedo on his camera phone, is there any way i can post it?

Some camera phones you cand send the pics via email, just send it to your email, save it to your computer and upload it that way.

my z28,155mph at 3900-4100 rpm not really pulling hard but acclerating at a constant rate, i think it will go 165

reading another thread reminded me of this, when i had my car apart putting my headers on, i had to drive my sisters 2002 v6 cougar 5spd to school, anyway im drving down the highway and a 98-02 ss camaro and a mustang gt come flying by me racing, the gt was holding his own, i about shat myself at how unlucky i am i hit it in my sis lil v6 cougar and tried to keep up but just watched them get farther and farther away. so i take my exit and low and behold the ss was sitting at the light, i pull up next to him and feel about ready to kill myself. i roll down my window and say" man if i had my z28 we could have ourself's a good little race" he just smiles and says" yea sure" and drives off. does anyone else feel if they are driving a car thats not theirs a perfect oppurtunity for a race always shows up, when im in my car i see maybe 1 or 2 cars that could possibly race, if im in someone elses car everydam car on the road that i would want to race pulls up next to me.

My speedo says 170, but I doubt I can get it up there

Anyhow, what's the big deal about hitting 155mph in a car that's governed at 160mph stock?

Governed = meaning if there were no electronic limiter, it'd go faster, even stock.

governed at 158, hehe before someone just said that the car couldnt do that and i wanted to prove them wrong, i think im gonna remove the governer and put in some 200mph gauges, that will be my next step, and thats hauling and its scary going that fast with one hand on the wheel takin a picture of the speedo,

a camaro going above 160mph, man be careful. I don't know if it can be done in the first place, haven't heard of many guys on the camaro forums who have topped 160-165mph in their camaros even after a bit of modification.

on a side note, damn i wish i still had my camaro, i was just about to get headers and an exhaust before the accident "sniff sniff", yuor car must sound bloody beautiful now dude.

wasnt risking anyones live that werent willing, it was about a 2.5mile straight stretch without a another car in sight, im gonna bring a video cam along next time i go up there.

this thing sticks pretty good seriously it handles better at 155 than my firebird did at 125. i know you had a lt1 and i see where your coming from worried about the speed, but its like driving a complete different car in the next gen and i have the suspension. And headers :1:

no i dont go to organized street race stuff it seems like its a good way to get busted, i go to the target on 3040 sometimes where all those people gather but i never race

Even if you dont stay, roll down Beach St between 10-11pm on a Friday or Saturday. Drive through the parking lot of the Starbucks/Albertsons, give it a few revs...You'll get all the races you want.

Take 30 Towards Ft. Worth, exit Beach, but make sure you exit and keep going right, else wise you'll be in Ghetto banger heaven. Just keep cruising, not sure of the exact intersection, I'll ask my buddy what it is. You'll get everythign from ricy ass Civics to really well modified Asian and Euro Imports, Saleen 'Stangs, every now and then theres a Z06, some newer SS and Z28 Camaros...its mad. I got my very first killin Cassie on beach against a E/I 240Sx.
