Any popular bands from your area?

Frenzal Rhomb's guitarist when to the highschool across the road from my primary school, I recorded my bands CD in his old house with his brother.

That's pretty much it.

Lucky Boys Confusion, Disturbed, and there's a few more i cant think of..

I grew up in Orange County, CA and now live in LA County. I doubt I could even come close to naming all those bands....

Godsmack, aerosmith.

Disturbed is Canadian, as far as i can remember...

unless i'm wrong...which is very possible since i don't even like Disturbed...but i was under the impression that they were Canadian.



oh well, anyways, Alexisonfire is from my hometown of St.Catharines Ontario, and some of the band members actually went to the high school that i would've gone to if i hadn't moved up here to north of Toronto.

also, Moneen is from Burlington Ontario (about 45 minutes from me), as well as Boys Night Out (Burlington) and Silverstein (Burlington).

Billy Talent is from the Greater Toronto Area, as are quite a few other bands that i can't remember as of this writing.

I was under the impression they were from Chicago, they came to a local club in champaign an awful lot before they were popular...

actually you might be right.

Lucky Boys is from the town adjacent from me, and Alkaline Trio is from around here too(aurora/naperville area)

Central IL about an 1 1/2 hours from Chi town, but the lucky boys always come down here to the Canopy Club and put on a kick ass show, so we like to think they're a local band for us to. LBC is my favorite band, and they're cool, they actually greeted everyone at the door and thanked them for coming after their concert.

Where are you at Eversio? I'm in Bourbonnais for college and my girlfriend's parents live in Plainfield.

I'm in the Seattle area..... Kind of the same problem as blindside, just with nappier hair and flannel!

Shihad (Or whatever thier name is this week) are indeed from Wellington.



As for my area, how many Italian pop acts do you know of aside from Eifell 65 or Elisa?


Not many? I thought so.


Of course we do have 20 billion different Techno acts, Classical artists and Tenors.

Skynard, Limp Bizkit and Yellowcard. I love Skynard but don't particularly like the other two. I think members of the last two bands went to my highschool, Doulglas Anderson School of the Arts. By the way, I live in Jacksonville, Florida.

Bighead Todd and the Monsters, I think.

Frenzal are around. They put out another album last year, and just finished a european tour I do believe

I almost forgot, Chevelle is a local Chicago band to

if anyone has ever heard of the Elms (formerly Just visiting), they're from Seymour Indiana...my band used to open for them on a regular basis between 1997 and 2000.

They've gone on to tour with the Newsboys and Peter Frampton...They're not the greatest group of musicians ever but they MORe than get the job done and they're very steady and dependable, as well as very likable guys.

Back in high school, my dad and uncles used to run around with John Mellencamp.

Atmosphere, the Replacements, Bob Dylan, Prince lives and has his recording studio here

I don't know how close 91300zxtt is to chicago or central il but MuDvAyNe is from Peoria Illinois. Just like 30 mins north of me. They used to play in my friends basement.

i used to live out by chillicothe with my mom, or lacon, henry, sparland if you know where any of that is, now i live out by chicago, used to live in so i got all that stuff

i think the dallas area can claim:

pantera, bowling for soup, SRV, deep blue something, and several others i wont try to name

Misfits are from pretty close and I've heard Danzig live in the town next to me. Dunno what else.

Where do you live dude? When I'm not at school (which Is in Bourbonnais) I live in Tolono IL.
