H22a in 92 hatch

For a h22a swap civic owners need
Motor, Tranny, axles, cables, and ecu.

Tranny-question here is will all 90-93 accord trannys work?

Cables- shifter cables from 92 and newer lude or 90-93 accord,

Axles-90-93 intermediate shaft with 90-93 teg axles

Ecu-Jdm requires no EGR wiring

Also I heard using a 90-93 fuel rail from a accord helps with the fuel filter location.

Anything that isn't correct let me know,I am just checking to make sure it's correct.

I believe the F20a tranny will bolt up, but you'd be better off going with the h22a tranny. Shiftlinkage '92-'96 Prelude and '90-'93 accord will work. Yes you will have to wire up for the EGR with a JDM ECU, unless you decide not to use it. My friend never wired it up, he just didn't bother. I don't know about the fuel rail thing, the stock one should work fine. Remember to upgrade your fuel pump too if it's going in your CX, the stock one just won't cut it for a fuel supply. And also wire for the 4 wire O2 from your 1 wire. And I'm assuming you know about the mounts and the other things you need to do to get it in the car.

CivicSpoon pretty much nailed it. All H and F series trannies are interchangeable, with the exception of the F20C/F22C.

alright since the subject is there on the swapping an F-series motor tranny onto an H-series motor, anyone thought of (or know if) a S2000 motor would bolt to a 92 96 Prelude tranny? The S2000 motor is an F20C, so if u can put an F tranny on an H motor, then y couldn't u put an H tranny on an F motor? just curious

Reread what SiGNAL748 said about the F20C tranny and the h22 block. Plus the S2000 motor sits differently.

You can put an H tranny on an F motor. All H and F series (excluding F20C/F22C) are interchangable. You can't put an S2000 Tranny on any other H series or F series motor because they sit transverse. Don't forget, the S2000 is RWD.

If only Honda would've named the S2000 motors with a G prefix (or some other unused letter), all this confusion could have been avoided. G20C, G22C. Although, i'm sure they have a good reason on why they put the motors with the F series. And its probably far too technical for me to understand.

i realize that the motor sat front-to-back, but the idea was for putting a FWD tranny on it and mounting side-to-side. i'm sure i wasn't the first to think of it, just curious. i didn't know that it was a completely different motor than the accord and earlier lude f series. yeah i agree they shoulda used a different letter. thanks though for the insight. much appreciated.

i've seen pics of a hatch in canada with an F20C. Can't remember if that thing was RWD or not though. Your idea of mounting it horizontally probably has been kicked around by more than a few people.

i'm not to sure you could handle an h22 josh. judging from how you almost emptied your bladder allover my front seat when you felt the power of mine, i'm gonna go out on a limb and say you couldnt take it. i'm just playin tho man, but really that shit is wicked fast isnt it? its almost too much for a honda. i love it tho.
and why the fuck did you move back up there? i'm faintly remembering back almost 2 years ago, when i first met you and i was with amber, and she'd call me up or whatever and you'd make this whip cracking noise, well guess what man, i fucking am like 3 hours from you and when i listen real close i can hear it again, only this time its coming from you getting your ass whipped.
haha
i saw ur mom tonight. and even gave her a hug. she said she missed you.
