I've looked through all the threads and tried VFAQ and all they had was the installation for a 1g....Now...I know where the parking brake wire goes and the speed sensor wire goes....But after looking through the 2G turbo ECU pinouts i can't find the RPM signal wire....Anyone know where this wire would go to from the turbo timer? I can't find it anywhere in the ECU diagram.
Thanks for the help

Look at instructions for any other turbo timers on 2g. It's something like the CAS wire, but I've never desired a turbo timer. Already have one with the alarm.

What alarm do you have? I want one of those 2-way alarms....

See if you can find a diagram for the SAFC-II install. I had to tap into the RPM signal wire when I wired my SAFC-II up.
Oh, here it is....
Go to
http://www.prostreetonline.com/pso/pages/howto/showarticle.asp?articleid=25
it shows how to install a SAFC-II. It says that it's ECU pin-out #58. (also called engine ignition signal). You will probably have to cross reference this with the ECU pin-out diagram from VFAQ.com. Look in the electrical section. It looks like it is the smallest plug on the ECU (out of 4) second wire from the left on the bottom row (opposite side of the tab you push to remove the plug). You will want to double check this before you go hacking wires, just in case I read it wrong.

I have a Compustar 2 way, with Spread Spectrum instead of FM band. 1.25 mile, autostart, turbo timer, alarm, motion sensor, blah blah... cost me about $900. autostart on a 5 speed is difficult.

What is checks is that the parking brake is on, and probably that the car isn't moving. What you MUST be sure of is that the car is in neutral. If your car is in first, the starter will JERK the car forward, multiple attemps to start the car.
Viper won't do it because of liability.
In the winter, where you can't use the parking brake in Alaska (because it gets frozen) my car was in neutral with no brake. Just on level ground. STupid idea, huh? :)
