when im driving my 79 carmaro and im doing like 30 and i punch the gas it bogs down and sputters but then it takes off after a second what might this be from

i think your main problem si that you have a camaro that is over 2 years old. If you want to get rid of your problems you will have to buy an unused camaro or just simply get another car.

i'm going to guess that you have a quadrajet carb? that's a common problem with those. try adjusting the secondary choke so it doesn't open as much when the throttle is completely open

if that doesn't work, it may be time for a new accelorator pump, a good cleaning or both. depending on how old the carb is

well the carb and intake r both new the carb is a holley 450 4bbl and the intake is a holley street dominatori'll check the accelorater pump and see

if they are both new, it might just be a matter of fine tuning the carb. they come pretty well factory tuned but not perfect

yea if your running carb then what sounds like is happening is that when you open it up then the carb is overflowing the intake and drowning your block. Just turn back the carb and should go away
