A friend of mine had his car broken into. They attempted to peel the column and take the car, but were unsucessful. So I bought the car off him for $400. I'm going to go out there tomorrow to try to get it home. I've had 3 cars stolen from me and I've worked with the steering columns every time to get them back home. However, this is the first with the security key. I was told the key turns forward, lights come on, but no starter engagement. So I'm going to read the resistance on that key and splice into the wire with a radioshack resistor, but other than that what should I look for in the steering column to start it up? On my delta and lesabre both had a lil rod on the left side with a block at the end that I would pull back witha screwdriver to start, same on the caddy?

With the correct resistor across the two white wires, the car will start using pre-Passkey methods.
