I noticed your thread the other day when you showed that $20 strut (I can't remember if it was a strut or what it was) that you found on ebay.
I'm new with my car and all. But to me brand does matter because there's a reason why a brand name is preferred when it comes your vehicles. And you want quality products in a vehicle because what if you break down somewhere?
And the stuff you find on ebay is not quality brand stuff. If your going to pay anything for your car make sure you get quality. Or else you'll wind up replacing it again later and spending more than what you would've spent if you had just bought the quality brand name the first time around. So if you can't afford the quality product right now, save up until you can. Don't settle for less.

I'll go the opposite route, I've bought off ebay, and I think quality brands are better, but sometimes not worth the extreme price markup. If you want a performance style muffler like that, go ahead and get one of those. They will work fine, take it to a muffler shop and get them to build you a custom catback. You could get it mounted and the catback made and installed for 150-300 bucks. Performance-wise you wont notice much of a difference. The tone of sound maybe slightly different from a name-brand, it may drone at times, but overall, I think it's better than buying a $800 catback that flows pretty much the same. Just my .02 There are parts that matter, and parts that you can skimp on a bit..a muffler is one I would say you could skimp on a bit.
$20 struts are one of those things, I wouldn't go cheap on...

the only one of those mufflers i'd consider is the magnaflow and it can be gotten cheaper at www.roadraceengineering.com

i wouldnt recomend the magnaflow street series. it is a little ricey (unless you like that shit!) get the universal muffler. the performance is identicle, and gives a great sound to our cars due to our large engines. dont be a dumbass, and waste your money on somthing that you will have to replace in a few months because remember you get what you pay for!just be patient, and get the good shit!

so youre telling me that a universal muffler is better than a muffler made by a respectable company? can i get some of that stuff you are smoking? the universal muffler is more ricey than a magnaflow. a universal muffler is what all the honda ricers get

from what i've heard the magnaflow is a far cry from being ricey. that's like the only muffler i've heard 3gers reccommend. they say the street series for the 4-cyl and the race series for the v-6. universal mufflers like you get on ebay or at pep boys are just cheap-ass pieces of shitty metal

You should also consider the Evo II from Greddy. Trust me, you wont get that ricey sound. all you'll get is a nice deep tone. If you want to hear it yourself, some guy has two short videos of his GT with the Evo II. Its in the Magnaflow or Flowmaster thread. its in the 3rd page of threads. And 2nd page of the actual tread.Just Right click and save it to your computer. Hope you like it.
