Broke_as_****: ---> Just ****in with you.
Page 7-25, in my book atleast, they are used to adjust the aim of the headlights. You can store them in their proper place in the little hump behind the drivers seat. Just pry the trim piece off with a rag covered butter knife or a screwdriver so you don't scratch it.

Page 7-25
- A headlight aiming adapter is installed in the vehicle as illustrated. The adapater should be used when attaching the headlight aimer to the aerodynamic headlight lenses.
- Always make sure that the headlight aiming adapter is properly secured after use.
- Such items can become dangerous projectiles in an accident or sudden stop.
- Aiming is not necessary after replacing the blub. When aiming adjustment is necessary, contact your NISSAN dealer.
I can scan the page later if you want :D

lol...dude...i was wandered that same thing. those things were in my trunk too. i never really took the time to look up what they were for. looks like i got myself something to play with tonight. lol.
BTW: while talking about light, i have a short in my foglight circuit. i was driving down a country road and all the sudden my foglights when out. so i pushed the button and the little light on the fog light switch doesnt even light up. so i get out and check the fuse under the hood. its blown, so i replace it with a spare and it blows it as soon as i stick it in. so my question is....has anyone had this problem??? or know where to locate my fog light wires running through the engine bay?

It seems you have to have a headlight aimer such as the dealer has. So in other words they are useless unless you have the aimer to bolt them too. So as for the T Tops is there a way to secure them for transit? Lets go out on a limb here and guess that nissan only gives you a bag and a strap to hold them in place while giving you some fancy gizmos to aim your lights with only if you have the aimer to hook them too.????????
Makes sense to me....... :screwy:

Turn the lights on and see if you have power to the bulb recepticle. If you do......it's the bulb....If not........you may have a short......I doubt the car has a left and right fuse for the fog lamps but it is known to be the case on some cars but mostly for the headlights....Just a thought...I have one thats blown and cant get the lens off.......seems like whatever the screw is screwed into is turning on the backside........Any suggestions?.........Can't get to the backside without removing a bunch of things.

the screw on the front of the fog light is just an adjustment screw i think. it makes the light aim in different directions and what not. if you need instructions on how to remove the fog light i am more then happy to explain. really easy.
BTW: its a bitch getting the foglights off if you have the 99' JDM front fascia because the corner light whole is about 1/4 the size of the stock front bumper. cant hardly get my hand in there.
BTW: how much you asking for the TT? and what is your street address again? so i can come take a steal...err...i mean take a look at it... :naughty:

Taking offers.......Yes explain the fog light bulb r&r please......The motor in the TT has less than 40,000 miles on it. I also have the original motor.

you selling parts off of the original motor??? whats wrong with it? why are you selling the car?
Removal of fog lights:
first there are 2-screws that are holding your corner light assemblys in place. remove those assemblies and unplug the wiring harness. now there is a hole in your front bumper that you can reach your hand behind. now you take a 10mm socket wrench. there are 3 nuts holding the fog light assembly on from the back. (there is one on the bottom of the fog light and 2 at the top). remove these nuts and the fog light assembly should pull right out. disconnect the wiring harness from the fog light. there are 4 screws holding the back cover of the fog light onto the tho fog light assembly itself. remove these and there you see your bulb being held down but a felxible wire thingy. there you go. simple once you do it.
i probably went a little more in depth than i needed to but there it is.
