noise when pressing x

hi guys, last time my car had a problem i found these forums very helpful. So here goes...

Lately everytime the X is pressed the car makes a Zinging noise. Also the Engine just seems louder. Anyone got any ideas ? Its a 98 intrepid 3.2l..

what do you mean by the "X" button? As far as the engine sounding louder, you could have a small exhaust leak somewhere.

also, check and see if your check engine light is on

no the engine lite is not on. I was told it could be a bearing that is too tight. the tensioner bearing. does this make sense to you?

when i press gas - the car makes noise like its strugling to go faster (it is not) its just the noise.

you might have a vacuum leak somewhere. With the engine running, pop your hood and listen for any unusual sounds or whistling under the hood. If you hear a whistling sound, you have a vacuum leak
