Gibson Exhaust

Anyone have a Gibson single rear exit system on a 5.3 truck? I really would like the kit, but I don't want it to be too much louder than stock. I had a 2 chamber 40 series flowmaster on my Dodge and it was great, but too loud for me now.(guess I'm getting too old)

I have a Gibson Dual exit on my 4.8. I like how it sounds. Its not very lous at idel but when u start movin it can get loud. It did get a bit louder when i put the FIPK on. Im not sure how loud the single exit would be but i have set off a few car alarms with mine without even flooring it. I got the gibson setup because i wanted my truck to sound like a truck...not a chopper.

I have the same setup... 2000 silverado 5.3 with the single 3" pipe from gibson. It is perfect for me, I too didn't want the sound to be much louder than stock... and i didn't want any cab vibration. And since you get the same power from the single 3" as you do from the duel 2.5's, that is the way i went, and I love it. A nice low rumble that is not too loud. you will be very happy with that setup
