I took a break from modeling for a while but now I'm back into it. I just started this project today when I was trying to come up with something new to do to a 350Z so I decided to chop off the top and make it a speedstur.
Before cut:

After:

The "bumps" Are from the revell saleen mustang kit, they still need to be puttied up.

Interesting!

I expected if I attempted one that Tamiya would release a kit about the time I finished the body work (lol).

I'll be antisipating this one. A drifter convert 350z would be so
sweet. Kinda makes me want to model again

Thanks everyone. after looking at it for a while I decided to change the style of the "bumps". The new ones are langer and drawn out more. There will be 2 but the other one is still drying so i have to wait. I also pancaked out the mustang deck lid thingy. what do tou think?

Thanks for your comments everyone. For those who were wondering wether I was replicating the factory roadster, I'm not this is just my interpretation. As you can see I've done alot more body work on the back to make it flow better. The deck has been streched and pancacked to the back of the car and I made it a little longer by adding some styrene. Now I'm just waiting for the putty to dry. What do you think?

Thanks everyone, I did decide to do a small body kit after sanding. I'm waiting for the putty to dry now so that I can start to carve it out. As far as paint goes I do have something interesting planned if I can pull it off.

Hi,

the result looks good up to now, however I think you could save some time if you use less amounts of putty at one time, sand it and then perhaps use some more putty.

I made some heavy body modifications in the last weeks and found it easier to work this way.
