Mine says mitsuba on it. Thought about replacing it so I don't have problems down the road but don't want to replace something that's already been replaced if ya know what I mean?

if it ain't broken, dont replace it :) or however that saying goes lol I would keep using it till it finally just goes on you. I'm not sure if there really is a way to tell if a main relay will be going bad soon unless it has problems starting up.

I'm just wondering if there is a way you can tell by looking at it, that's all. Mine says Mitsuba on it?

I don't think there is a way.

So can I assume there is no part number on yours?

I pulled one from a 91 civic and it looked identical to the one from my 89.

I got a new one from Honda a few months ago and it said that on it, as well as my old one, its just the comany that makes them, also made the starters for the ones that were accually made in japan.
