Car starts and then stalls, but if I have someone "tap" the relay while starting it stays running. I have changed the relay. Could it be the fuel pump?? Thanks

if tapping on the relay helps I cant see where the fuel pump would be the problem sound more like weak current/low voltage to relay or high resistance in the ground circuit

wow i had a similar experience in my 94 2.6 l it died tryed to start and it would start and immediately die had it towed to a shop and it started right up i pulled the relay at home and it does exactly the same thing i did put some new battery cable connectors on earlier so im wondering if this is related but it did turn over and partially start just wouldnt run
