Rack or Pump?

my cars steering is sticky when you first drive it out of the garage but one it warms up its fine but its almost impossible at first. could it be the steering rack or the Pump?

Sounds like the problem is pump related. First check the fluid level of the pump. If it's low top it up and search for leaks throughout the system. Also check the belt tension, if the belt is loose it won't spin the pump properly giving you the symptoms you described. If the belt is not loose, check and see if it's glazed over (the belt will look shiny). If it is glazed over you will need to replace it. Let me know how you make out.
