Hey everyone

My brother's girlfriend's workmate's husband had an xd falcon into which he put a Lincoln V8. He died a few years ago, so now she wants to sell it. People I work with (at a workshop) say that it is more than likely a 400 ci Windsor. Is this right? If not, what might it be?

It hasn't been started in a few years and needs a new battery, as well as oil and other fluids etc. She doesn't want to sell it in case I want it, and if i don't want it she wants me to value it for her so she knows how much she can sell it for. Any help in this area would be great also.

Apparently it is also fully worked, so I also want to know how much it will cost to fix everything up and get it going again, if only for the weekends.

There is heaps more i want to know but this will do for now.

Thanks everyone

Ford never made a 400 Windsor, only the 400M (Cleveland design) which if stock is a low-compression smog snail. Final Oz-model Galaxies (1971~72) used 400Ms

A few years ago I test-drove a ZK (XD style Fairlane) fitted with a 460 (385-design) which went pretty good for its size. Quite good condition, the seller wanted about $3k from memory
