I bit. I thought it this thread was about Commodore 64's too.

There are 10 kinds of people in the world: those who understand binary code and those who don't. (I don't...except I know "10" means "2" in binary code.)

yeah, early commodores were like the original ricer here, I'll try and scrape up a few pics

----ed------

here's a VL Walkinshaw (first model of the holden HSV's)
http://www.walkinshaw.net/originals/glen&robert/restored1_thumb.jpg

That's the basic model. You see pimped up versions of these around, although this car in the the pic is original restore, people get normal VL's and add the wing, and body kits to replicate the walky (as only a few hundred were made in 1988)

http://www.walkinshaw.net/originals/glen&robert/restored3_thumb.jpg

note: these are the commodore series, but it's shaped around the same model.

----------edit2---------

I mentioned about people pimping them up, well

http://www.walkinshaw.net/replicas/benno/benno3_thumb.jpg

that's not an original, it started life as a normal VL

Yeah well the difference with ricers here

is they atleast have some balls behind the looks

The vl commodores come stock with RB30's witch are bloody quicker then those civics going around. Plus their RWD.

yeah its rear wheel drive so when they pull the full sik line locks with their rooted borg warner diff it leaves one lame arse line.
and its not just VL's that cop the rice treatment..
god knows how many VN's ive seen that are pretending to be VY clubsports. with the clapped out buick V6's
(if you want a fake clubsport kit, or want to know what im raving about go to www.cougarbodystyling.com.au)
laters, WIDE :aus:
