Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has had their car painted by students (ie vocational or trade) what were the results, and cost.

I have an 89 and really don't want to spend tons of money on a simple monochromatic (white) paint job. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John

this is one of those hit or miss things. Most schools will paint your car for the cost of the supplies, its used as a learning tool. I'v seen good and bad paint jobs come from schools. Most I have seen are good, if its a reputable school, because the instructor will make the students correct any mistakes. Ask to see other work that has came out of there under that instructor, they should have a picture book.

My vocational school does a wonderful job. It's just sometimes we get some airhead that doesn't know what he's doing but showing off and goof's something up. Then he blames it on another student. What a world we live in!

the auto body class in our county is really good, the teacher makes sure they do a good job. They do it good or they fix it. My friend had the class paint his teg si blue and it came out really good. Just make sure u tell them to piant under the hood and in the door jambs or they wont.
