1998 Blazer noise at startup

I have a 1998 Blazer, 4.3 engine. When I start it, it has an excessive valve train noise for 2-3 minutes and then goes away when engine is warm. I changed the oil, 5w30, and it continues. I believe the noise is from the oil not reaching the top of the motor. Motor has good oil pressure. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Are you using a Fram oil filter?

And there lies your problem.
Orange Fram filter are horrible oil filters that have very poor antidrainback valves and cause the valvetrain noise you hear.
Use only:
ACDelco
WIX
Purolator
Napa Gold
K&N
Never the orange can of doom.
Piss poor piece of fucking trash.
