I picked up this hobby late last year. I've completed 3 kits already. I would have been done with these 2 by now if I hadn't stumbled upon this forum. That is to say, I would have been satisfied with what I had had I not seen the great things you guys have done. So now I've read the tips and I've spent many weeks trying to get the paint on these 2 bodies to look good. The first one is the Tamiya Porsche 911 GT3 and I started it in early January.

The second one is Fujimi's Subaru Impreza WRX STi Version IV. I don't quite remember when I started it, but I do remember that I was bored with waiting for the paint to dry on the Porsche, so I decided to start work on it.

I'm pretty much done with the interior for the Porsche and I have a few things left to do with the Impreza, but after that, both kits will be waiting for the bodies to be completed. Now, I know they don't look that great, but I'm still learning and hopefully I'll get better the more I do. I already have a long list of kits I want to do, so I am most definitely going to be getting lots of practice.

That green color looks very strange on a subaru. It seems as if it's an army car

Thanks. I'm having one hell of a time trying to get the bodies to shine like some of the examples I've seen on this forum.

That green is Tamiya spray TS-9 British Green. And I don't think they came in that exact shade, but I do know that the new age WRX comes in some form of green. I believe it's a bit lighter and not available in the states, but that was probably the inspiration for my choice of color here.

Ahahaha! I don't know, but it was some pretty powerful stuff! :smoker:
It's just that I didn't want to choose a color that I had already done and for some reason I don't like white cars. I will probably do one eventually, but if I did like them, then this car would most definitely be white as per the instructions and the pic on the box. Whatever, I'm pleased with how it looks and that's all that matters, right?

Here's a Pic of the green WRX I mentioned

I think it looks good, though not quite the shade I used.
Now that I look at it, the green I used is a bit military-like, but I do believe it doesn't quite look like that in real life.

Is the interior of the yellow porsche all black, and what kind of black do you recommend?
