painted grille emblem

Hello, new member here. I like what i've seen so far. I painted by grille emblem today with factory color code paint. Just wondering if any body had any tips. I'm thinking of adding a clear coat to it. It looks pretty good but I was wondering if a clear coat would make it look better.

itll give it that extra shine if you want it. i would because it is on the front of the truck which means it is mor culnerable to bugs and rocks and all that good stuff. itll protect the pant then.
